Commvault implementation consultant

We are a global IT service company based in Uruguay serving humans like humans. Our main focus is on providing staffing and delivery team services to companies seeking a strategic partner for their products and services. Right now, we are looking for a Commvault implementation consultant who possesses experience managing Commvault backup solutions and migration of data backup solutions to join our team!. Will be responsible for deploying the core solution as well as setting up SaaS service, Hyperscale X storage at ATL DC, requirements for BYOS Storage on Azure, policy configuration, gateway server setup, showcase backup configuration for workloads on cloud and on-prem server, SQL and HANA database, object storage and file server.

Main Responsibilities: This Commvault consultant will be responsible for the following:

• Working with Commvault Professional Services team to oversee the core solution deployment, with project management provided by Commvault and the client (this person is the technical resource, so he/she will work with the team to execute on project tasks and deliverables).
• Coordinating with client’s Hosting team and guiding them in the roll-out of the Commvault backup solution across all sites across the Americas.
• Disk Storage, Cloud Storage, and BYOS setup and configuration as per client’s Cyber Security policy, along with Hyperscale storage configuration to support OT Security data segregation requirements.
• For Data Retention, align with client Cyber Security data protection requirements and policies, while working with Commvault Professional Services to implement backup and retention policies.
• Support onboarding of servers to Commvault Cloud solution as follows:
  • Phase 1: Onboard servers from Avamar.
  • Phase 2: Onboard servers from Networker.
  • Phase 3: Onboard servers from Azure Backup.
• For Security and Compliance, define and deploy policy in accordance to client’s data security and compliance policies.
• Integrate with existing systems, ensure technical compatibility and smooth integration with client’s current IT infrastructure and applications.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ideal candidate will sit in either Mexico or India, with second choice geo being other LATAM countries and third choice USA.
• MUST have prior Commvault Cloud experience (formerly known as Metallic – Commvault ), a SaaS product for Data Protection. Client needs someone who is technically competent in Commvault backup solution from an administration and management standpoint. Prior experience implementing Commvault would be ideal.
• 7-10+ years’ experience overall with at least 3+ years of actual Commvault/Metallic working experience..

• Working hours: Mexico business hours (CST).
• With preference for a senior consultant who is geographically located as follows: 
  • Mexico (or India).
  • Other LATAM countries
